Course Introduction
"Medical Statistics" course, taught in English from in 2005 in Tianjin Medical University, is an important medical public basic course belonging to the degree program. In 2009, with the expansion of the scale of graduate international students, post-graduate courses have been opened for 60 hours and additionally added computer-classroom-practice content. After practiced teaching undergraduate international students for 10 rounds and graduate international students for 6 rounds, teaching results were satisfactory. "Medical Statistics" courses was the earliest excellent course in Tianjin Medical University, became the Tianjin City excellent courses and obtained bilingual teaching certification in Tianjin Medical University in 2009. Course content is aimed at five-year clinical medical international students and graduate international students.

The course is divided into two kinds of methods: theoretical lessons and experimental lessons.
In theory teaching, medical statistics is a discipline about medical information collecting and analysis, which has a strong application. It has played an important role in developments of basic medicine, clinical medicine, preventive medicine and health economic. Its contents include basic concepts of medical statistics, the basic theory and basic methods.   During experimental teaching, it is set mainly after the relevant theory course content is completed, with the combination of theory lectures for each system module and arrangement of students’ Computer practice learning, to improve students' practical skills.
