The School of Basic Medical Sciences offers two programs: Basic Medical Sciences and Biological Sciences, leading to M.S and Ph.D. degrees in eight departments.

The graduate students of programs for biological sciences work toward a degree in one of four subjects—Physiology and Pathophysiology, Cell biology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics & Computational Biology.

The graduate students of programs for basic medical sciences work toward a degree in one of eight subjects—Human Anatomy and Histo-embryology, Medical Physiology & Pathophysiology & Pathology, Immunology, Pathogen Biology (Microbiology & Parasitology), Medical Cell Biology, Medical Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Medical Genetics.

The faculties at the School of Basic Medical Sciences are diverse backgrounds and experienced for training graduates to become scientist and professional and offer twenty curricula for graduate students. At present, our faculty members include 68 supervisors for Ph.D. and 118 supervisors for master’s degree, and our school has 406 full-time graduate students including 145 candidates for Ph.D. and 261 candidates for master’s degree.

The office for graduate’s affairs at the School of Basic Medical Sciences is in charge of the admission, training program and graduation of graduate student for Ph.D. and master’s degree.
