√ In 2003, the School took the lead in launching the Reform of College English Teaching in Tianjin.

√ In 2004, the School was recognized by the Ministry of Education as one of 180 pilot College English Teaching Reform universities in China.

√ In 2007, the School was approved by the Ministry of Education as the only medical university in one of 65 demonstration Universities of College English Teaching Reform in China。

√ In 2008, the innovation of College English (EAP) teaching had been highly praised and fully recognized by the Ministry of Education.  

√ In 2014, the Medical English Training Center was approved as the Construction Unit of Tianjin University Experimental Teaching Demonstration Brigade.
